New Render

The stonework in the wall is textured with cracks but they were washed out by the low light levels.

This is deceptively simple. It took the P4-2.1GHz 1 hour 46.5minutes to render. I hate to think what my old P2-333MHz would have taken. Thank heavens for flash drives and USB ports.

Very cool - put a little white Pony logo on it and render up an image of Flo's bath ;-)

I find it amazing how long it takes even these whiz bang CPU's we have no adays to render images. I can't imagine how long it takes Little Dragon's machine to render the complex scenes he is creating...

LD machine must be better than mine. I can't run Poser let alone render anything.

When I Have A Job I'll be investing in something better.

And when I saw White Pony's drawing I knew I'd have to draw the lamp 8)

IIRC, LD's machine is an AMD of some sort. Not huge crunch, you're machine is likely similar. I think he did stuff a gif of ram in his PC though, and that's a real gating item for rendering.

I've got a 2.6 P4 here, "only" 512MB though. I have no idea how it would do in poser et. al.

I know Photoshop happily gobbles up 200MB of memory on it's own noooo problem...

I use the company laptop to do the grunt work, and transfer it to mine for post production.
