So Far...

So here I am in Darwin.

A big report will be coming, but the highlights:

A green desert
Seeing the sea on the south coast (Spencer Gulf, Port Augusta) then seeing the sea on the north coast 2 days later (Arafura Sea, Darwin)
The Woomera Rocket Park
Roads with unrestricted speed limits
Discovering the Devil's Marbles have a proper name: Karlwekarlwe
seeing wild camels
Crossing the Tropic Of Capricorn
seeing 3 metre high termite mounds
Seeing a 53 metre long road train

Lowlights:
Running over and killing a falcon.
92% humidity
Petrol $1.25/litre at TiTree
Passing the Uluru turn-off and not having time to see Uluru.

*Visualizes 10 foot tall Rexie dealing with a 3 foot termite mound the way Godzilla might deal with Tokyo*:D

You'd think nature would build a bigger monotreme, but a lot of little ones work just as well:).

Looking forward to the lengthy report:)............

Wild camels? Wow, I didn't know you have that there.

They were brought over ~150 years ago as transportation, and have gone feral in the desert.

Wow!

Sounds fun! :)

Did a little Web search on Woomera. Sounds like a NEAT place!
Hope you got lots of pictures! :)
