Peewee

It appears I have become the new local Peewee expert. No.6 arrived today. She is very young and still covered in downy fluff in her black & white colours. Terry brought her around and said he'd had to force feed her, but as soon as I picked her up she began begging. I stuffed her with food, and her noise set the other two off so I had to feed them ahead of schedual.

I hope she does well.

Yeah!

But don't expect to look after exotic and interesting animals first. You have to look after the boring ones too, like peewees. and echidnas.

I'm actually expecting to give tours of the historic house (hopefully) and clean up poop/dead leaves. (botanical gardens as well)

The new one had to be forced to eat, but you just picked it up and it started to chow down, huh??? Are you sure you are a bat and not a bird?? :) I suspect that you have been stretching the truth when you tell us you are a short, fat, bastard :)

Of cause, it might be because the critters there likes bastards. (might explain why Steve fares so well.... though probably not)

Can you tell the difference between the male and female chicks? Until now, I thought you were calling them all "he" out of convenience.

Females have more white markings around the face and beak, and an adult female has an all-white face. Actually this one might turn out to be male with a few extra markings.
