Australia 17 - England 20!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Congratulations England. Jonny Wilkinson is a dead-set legend.

Go Jonny! It's your birthday!

Rugby's the only sport I like to watch apart from, like, snooker and stuff. And I slept through this. Kind of pissed off about that. Have to watch it later, but now I know what happens :/

Well done to Australia as well though, the game could have gone either way from the start of the second half to the drop goal, I think your injury to your prop in the semi hurt your scrum, that seemed to be a weak area. Great game, but I suppose we have different views of the result.

Wilkinson did kick really well, as always, but Australia really made England fight for it. Both teams played really well, but I thought the refereeing was pretty poor.

The only thing I could see that changed the face of the match. As for the rest of it, it was pretty much equal. But it was that last push that Australia made when everything was equal. About 3 minutes left in the second half of extra time.

They decided to go for a try.

They should've got the ball to their kicker and went for the drop goal. I think if they chose that route then it would be Australia as champions now and not England.

But that's what we did a few minutes later and got those 3 points in the last dying seconds.

Ah well. Maybe I am wrong about that but perhaps that's a good lesson in what happens when you choose one route to the other. We may never know what would happen now. Only what has happened.
