The Pee Wee has gone to a better place.

It's a large aviary on the edge of town. The storm that ripped through here on thursday night blew young birds down all over the place. One of my fellow rescuers ended up with a bunch of young pee wees who refuse to eat. We thought that if my bird went in with the others, they'd learn by example and start to gape for food.

You'd think delivering a bird would be easy, but as soon as I stepped from the car I was bailed up by a maltese terrier and a muscovy duck.I wasn't sure which one I should be more afraid of.

Were they buddies?! That I would have loved to see.

Definitely the duck. Always beware of pissed off waterfowl. Neverunderestimate their aim for one's tender parts. :)

A good smack from the wings of a swan can kill a grown man.

Well luckily your black swans are not as bad as they come...! Mute swans are nightmares.

I used to have to care for a spur winged goose, everyone was so nervous dealing with him that he got an aggressive complex. Once you treated him like everyone else, he was fine. "Spuds" was his name. He was a good boy really... I wouldn't want to see one driving up to a house though! :)

be afraid of Daffy for sure

well, my buddy lostabubbles had a muscovy duck, and that thang was crazy and oversexed as well, kept trying to mate with her geese.

Aren't maltese terriers something you roll down the aisles in the movies....?

they are right. The only good duck is a roast duck.

...And roast duck is very good indeed.
