Curious that the basically in procreation a marathon is held. Many start out, pH, temperature, moisture, viscosity, and hormones speed or provide obstacles. The finishers gather and crowd. Only one will be selected or none.

The one crowing the most seems to be the guy who waved the green flag at the start. Yet, he did bring key genes to be raced. Just mixed and as much spilled then applied. Anywhere else this is usually refered to as a stain.

I've heard that two of the key traits triggered by those 78 genes are, in fact, the ones for ear hair and male pattern baldness.

Which isn't to say that men aren't as valuable genetically as women, but it's still funny.

I used to tell my classes that the Y chromosome is just an X gone wrong. ----

Those are a testosterone thing, so yeah 77 of the 78 genes cause them.

I think the 78th gene makes men look under the hood and examine the engine.

don't forget that one of them is responsible for making men NEVER ask directions, no matter how lost they are, how late they are, or that they don't happen to have a street directory for the city they are in. A bloke _always_ knows where he's going.

and when something goes wrong, (modern) guys will all stand around with the hood/bonnet open, all of them looking at the engine, and none of them willing to admit they don't know a rocker cover from a starter motor, or the transmission fluid dipstick from the regular oil dipstick.

genetics are a funny old business, aren't they ?
