Jakarta

14 confirmed dead, and they're still searching.

The bombers attacked a visible symbol of the US, but 13 of the dead are Indonesians.

Well, I'm glad, at least, that Indonesia's government has recognized the existence of terrorism there.

They discovered that after Bali. THe trouble is, no one knows if it was Jamal Islamir (connected to al Qaida) or the Free Aceh movement, or one of the other groups that that "aren't in Indonesia".

Yeah. :/

I think this sort of thing is going to weave into the global fabric the way it's woven in with Israel.

My friend could've died, he walked past the hyatt an hour before it happened. He's been staying with family there for the past while. He goes every year. It's kind of weird knowing that someone I know could've been affected like this.

sorry, marriot. my friend isn't that observant.

Friends of mine teach English at the Diplomat's school, where all the Embassadors' children are sent. It's like watching someone you know sit in the centre of a giant target.

They used to stay at the Marriot.
