A nice Cup Of Tea and A Sit Down .com
"Australian visitors, and cultural ambassadors to our shores have also poured scorn upon our humble Penguin, whilst performing questionable and lurid tea drinking acts with it. As we are all aware, the average Australian is a modest type, not in the habit of making overblown claims. However, they all seem confident in one thing, that the Tim Tam is a work of perfection, and not to have eaten one, is not to have truly lived. "

Originally they were native to the subtropical rainforests of the Australian continent’s east coast. The indigenous tree is actually quite rare in the wild, now, and is unfortunately predicted to go extinct within the next 10-20 years.
Hawaii is the world's largest producer of macadamia nuts, which is probably the source of the confusion. However, macadamia trees weren't introduced to Hawaii until 1882.

I'm an amateur botanist, is how I knew about all that stuff. One of my texts has a little info box about macadamia trees.
I love 'em, myself. They're actually my favorite nut to put in chocolate chip cookies (on the exceedingly rare occasions I want nuts in my cookies).

"Well I think we should all sit down and have a nice cup of tea, and some biscuits, nice ones mind you. Oh and some cake would be nice as well. Lovely."
Unfortunately, I don't like tea.*
Iz.
* Please ignore that outrageously un-English statment. I didn't mean it . . . really!
