More echidnas, bloke genes

Called to a local used car yard to rescue and relocate an adult echidna. In their showroom was a car that made all my bloke genes go POING! It was an '87 model Chrysler Camaro. A red one, too. 5.7 litre V8. Argh argh argh. $25,000.

POING! "Buy it!" went the genes. "BUY IT NOW!"

"NOW!"

"NOW!"

"NOW!"

"Save me!" whimpered my wallet.

It is in my nature to protect the weak and fragile. I saved the wallet, and will keep my saki-burner.

I'm kinda curious as to how much of its own bodyweight a wallet will consume daily?

No matter how much I put into mine it seems to excrete twice as much and ends up thinner.

ok, obviously my bloke genes aren't working, why is a 16 year old car so expensive? It's not a classic year...

$25k (US$15k) is about average for a second hand car in excellent condition here. You can get cheaper ones, of course. I saw a little Daewoo for $5k.

Caaaaaaaaaamaaaaaaaaaaaaroooooooooooooo!

Yow. That seems a little much. My Hyundai was less than that (US $13k) when I bought it last year.

Of course it isn't a Camaro, but then again, it's not 16 years old and has a warranty ;)

ROFL

OWWW I just hurt myself laughing

Chrysler Camaro?

Camaro's get my motorhead britches tented up in a hurry too obviously :)

One minor point before your jean's velcro fly lets go is Camaro's are Chevrolet (GM) built cars, not Chrysler (of Viper fame - BOIOIOING!!! ;-)

If you must fall in lust with an older Camaro, look for an '89-'92 (TPI motor, EZ to mod for not a lot of $)) or a '94-'95 (LT1 motor, EZ to mod to the moon++ on the relatively cheap).

I would be knowing stupid amounts of stuff on Camaro's and Trans-Am's, and near nil on echidnas. But I know a fella who can help me out should Elka ever have a run in with a rampaging herd of puggles in the Las Vegas desert ;-)

PS: Buy my '95 Camaro if your up for a LT1 V8 hotrod. It's only making 380Kw at the rear wheels currently, though I have an evil plot to push that up to a more respectable 440ish. I'll sell it for half of what I have in it plus just a little bit for shipping ;-)

that's odd. It was listed as a "chrysler." I *thought* they were GM cars. I was right, then.

I've seen the Viper racing in the ProAm Supercar series here. Left hand drive, though, and unavailable on the streets. 8(

Not surprising the dealership muffed it up, Camaro's are rare enough beasties in OZ I'd think...

Must all cars be RH drive in OZ by law? No such regs here Stateside fortunately. 10 cylinder hot rodded Vipers are just the ticket to fluff up a flagging Y chromosome ;-P

It wasn't that it was a Camaro. It was the V-8!

"I coulds had a V8! But nooooooo, I gotta stick to japanese tomato juice............"! :D *dodge*
