Christmas food is ordered.

3kg king prawns
15 balmain bugs (slipper lobsters)
1kg smoked salmon
2 doz oysters
1 small ham (for those who don't like shellfish)
2 cooked chickens (as above)
salad and stuff like that.

Lunch will be taken cold with cold beverages, and dinner will be cold leftovers with cold beverages if we can fit it in. Buggered if I'll have hot food when it's 40C outside.

I think I can say I can relate. I've seen 40C Christmases...in California.

And the only snowman I knew growing up was three tumbleweeds painted white. Shit you not.

Sounds yummy! Can I come?

Ok... my family does this every year. It's tradition.

How come I have to live in the United States? I'm jealous!
Seafood for Christmas;). Exotic local yabbies no less. The best I'm going to manage 'round here this Friday is Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings for 11 people. And maybe a few gingerbread kisses with chocolate and a sliver of candied ginger in the middle.
