Since spring is over, I thought I'd try something a little seasonal.

Mudgee Spring Ale

Pours a slightly cloudy, fizzy amber. The head is big and bubbly and fades away fast to a thick lacing.

First Sip: Nice, slightly sweet malts dominate everything. There is a faint bready taste in the background. The hops take a long tome to show, and appear as a mild bitterness on the back of the tongue long after you've swallowed. Nice beer burp. Mouth feel is a little thin and surprisingly not as fizzy as the beer in the glass would have you think - just a nice tingle on the tongue.

Ooooh this is yummy! None of the lemon or fruit flavours found in the previous beers, just malt. If anything, it tastes a little... I don't know. Uncomplicated? It's very nice. The label says it is an "American-Style Pale Ale." If it is, then I need to try some more of these American Pale Ales. It goes really well with a mild cheddar, and is perfect for washing down a meat pie.* Today is very hot and I'm a slow drinker, so the beer warmed a little in the glass. It doesn't like that - must be taken cold.

*Oh dear. I came over all bogan. Sorry about that.
