Another Beer Inna Can With A Widget

John Smith's Extra Smooth

Pours a deep brown colour. Almost no visible carbonation. The head is ridiculously smooth and stable, as seen on all the other nitro cans.

First sip: Um.

Second sip: No, I was right. Very faint malt, even fainter hops, and a tiny bitterness that lasts for as long as you swallow. A little caramel lurking in the background. No after taste to speak of.

This beer is smooth, watery, but not thin. It's... beer. The taste grows stronger as the glass warms, but not too much stronger. Better than Boddingtons -- in the way a punch in the face is better than a knee in the niagras -- and that's the best thing I can say about it. Good as a cold beverage on a really hot day. The can tells me to serve chilled, which is unusual for proper beer.
