A gluten free beer brewed with millet! I've never tried one before. The label says organic and gluten free. Interesting.

Schnitzer Brau Hirse Premium

Pours a very pale, slightly cloudy golden with a small head that fades slowly.

First gluten free sip: A mix of sweet malt and grains, with a medium hops that fades fast. The mouth feel is a little creamy, with slight carbonation tingle on the tongue.

Here we go, damning with faint praise:

This beer is all right. It's not unpleasant. It is a little -- um, tame? It is a little light on taste, but it does go down easily. A little too easily; at 5% alc/vol you do feel it because you drink it too fast. It tastes weak but it has all the kick of a malt beer.

This is a very drinkable pilsner, if you can make pilsner with millet instead of barley malt. If you gave up beer due to gluten intolerance (you poor bastard!) then grab yourself this one if you can.
