After my adventure at the show yesterday, I decided to shift the no-longer-injured galah from the outside hospital cage to the large aviary. Max was lazing on his side in the sun not far from the cage, and he moved away as I approached. As I removed the branches to get ready to grab the birds with the towel, Max hopped back to within a metre from me and flopped onto his side. I stripped out the old paper and took it around the corner of the house to the bin. After dumping it, I turned to discover Max lazing on his side about a metre from me. I went back to the cage and chased the galah to the floor, turned to grab the towel, and discovered Max lazing on his side about a metre from me. I caught the galah, let it go in the large aviary at the end of the yard, turned, and discovered Max lazing on his side about a metre from me. I tried to pat him but he moved away. So I went back to the small cage and cleaned out all the spilled seed in the bottom. When I turned to dump the seed, Max was lazing on his side about a metre from me. So I dumped the seed near him. He shook his head and began hooving up the seed. A few minutes later there was only corn kernels left, and he was starting on them.

Right now he is dashing past the back door - a brief white flash in the dark yard.

I appear to have been left a mad rabbit. It's probably why the previous owners left him.
