Take The Test

If everyone lived like you, we would need 2.3 planets.
Category... global hectares
Food ...........2.2
Mobility .......0.2
Shelter ........0.8
Goods/Services 1
Total Footprint 4.2
In comparison, the average ecological footprint in your country is 7.6 global hectares per person.

Worldwide, there exist 1.8 biologically productive global hectares per person.

Measure your impact
How many planets would we need if everyone was to live like you?

"Per capita, Australians generate more greenhouse gases and clear more land than the people of any other wealthy nation," the report states.

Mine came to 2.8 planets. Yikes!

It's a worry.

Mine is ~1.4 planets... but then, it might be a bit lower or a bit higher, as there were some of the questions I couldn't answer completely rightfully, so, yeah... :)

Mine came out to 2.1 planets, but that's because I never go anywhere ;).

Ack!

If everyone lived like you, we would need 3.2 planets.

Category
global hectares
Food 2.3
Mobility 0.2
Shelter 1.8
Goods/Services 1.4
Total Footprint 5.7

In comparison, the average ecological footprint in your country (United States) is 9.7 global hectares per person.

My footprint of 3.9, Tom's was 3.1 (he gets around via walking/bicycle more than me.)
2.2 planets (I think) for me. 1.7 for Tom. If he ate more locally grown produce and biked to work more regularly, he might manage to get down to one planet. Me, on the other hand, would have to do much more. *sigh*
But hey, at least we're a heck of a lot better than average!
Thanks, Den, this was really cool.

If everyone lived like me, we would need three planets. One for those of us that are, another for those that aren't, and the third planet in between as mediators for the other two. And they have all the weapons:D.

Seriously, that is a fun quiz. Helps to raise the awareness level. It also makes me feel good about doing my bit for recycling.
