North-east coast of Nova Scotia. South-east coast of Canada. Our summer temps are about the same, it's the winters that suck. Other than that, you pretty much hit Sydney, NS on the head.. which is why I stay the hell away from that end of the province.

A nightmare? Hardly. Good thing they weren't Americans. There's a 50 percent chance they'd have been the complain to everyone, sue everybody and swear they had nothing to do with it officer types who seem to get stuck in front of *me* whenever I have had to go through airport security (which isn't very often).I think it's really cool they had enough humor to say- Ok, we're *here*, let's see how much worse it can possibly be before saying it is:).Oh, they had to eat lobster, boo hoo hoo.:D! My socks bleed for them, batman!

Hehe

Funny as I'm looking into getting out to Melbourne. There are several Melbournes here in the US and I damn near fell out of my seat seeing a $300 ticket there (I would kill for a ticket that cheap to get to the REAL Melbourne) :P

Right now, I'm heavilly weighing whether or not to go. Ngarewyrd dropped out of the meet and I've yet to get a bunch of questions answered by the organizers, which worries me even more. That and I don't have enough vacation time to cover the gather AND travel time, even if I arrive a zombie the day the gather starts and they are alreayd a bit irritated at work that I have to take 3 days off to have my wisdom teeth cut out of my head. So the trip is looking to go south on me now I fear :(
