Movies

I just watched two Aussie moves: The Bank starring Anthony Lapaglia, and The Man Who Sued God starring Billy Connelly and Judy Davis. Both touch on the same theme (Small Man vs Corporate Bastards) but The Bank is far more serious.

The Man Who Sued God makes you feel better at the end and it has a few laughs (and Billy Connelly says "Fuck" 20 times in 2 minutes)

4 thumbs up (2 for each movie)

Man Who Sued God was really good; they had it on here as part of the Commonwealth [Games] Film Festival.

It did, however, join its compatriots under the heading "Aussie film == Weird Film" ;)

I think it (and The Bank) broke out of the "Quirky Comedy" format most Aussie films seem to fall into.
