So far I've travelled 1200km or so. I didn't strike traffic in any great amount until Melbourne. In Canberra traffic jambs vanish when the lights go green, while Dubbo has a rush-15-minutes.

Last night I was struck by the irony of being in a traffic jamb behind a car with a number plate that read "Victoria - On The Move." I think I prefer the more existential plates that read "Victoria - The Place To Be."

i'm waiting for the new vic plate. something like 'victoria -- it's not SA'

there's a rego plate in at dandenong rego joint, an SA plate with the letters being 'SUX'. i think they kept it for amusement sake :-)
