UK Trip Day10 Part 1

A wander around London. First stop, the London Eye.
The day started out cool and cloudy, and grew to windy and wet.

After buying tickets we were forced to endure a 10 minute advertisement on how Good the London Eye is, which was filmed in really poorly done 3D. I had to wear the 3D glasses over my glasses. I did not enjoy it as much as I would enjoy, say, 10 minutes on the engineering of the thing.
While enduring that, the weather turned really crappy and we queued in the wet and wind.

And so finally we were in a Gondola and going around. The views of London are rather good, even through rain-speckled acrylic.

"The flat above the shop." Buckingham Palace

Central London after rain

St Paul's.

Embankment Station, the Post Office Tower, and on the horizon, Wembley.

Looking down on the Thames from the top of the arc.

Have a panorama. Click on the image for a full-sized one.

After The Eye, Aaron and I went for a wander towards Buckingham Palace. Photos in the next post.
