i know the proper term is colony, but I look at photos like that and think bathug! Somehow a herd of bats doesn't cut it:D. Docter Tuttle has also photographed Sandborn's Longnosed Bats (TX/MX borderline cactus bats)that are so cute you'd almost want one for a pet. Until you see the flanking photos of other bats carrying home things like whole locusts, grasshoppers and other large fry for consumption and are reminded of why they exist- to rid the world of pesky bugs with the freedom to do it.

Yep! They're white with pink ears and little black eyes. They're not albinos.
