ANZAC Day

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

I am both proud and honored to say that I attended the Anzac Day Parade in dress uniform, in Sydney, Australia, on April 25th, 1997.

It was an honor to render salute in person to those that served.

During the 70s there was a big push by the ultra-left to cancel ANZAC day because it "celebrated war." 30 years later the crowds are even larger, more people attend the Dawn Service, and THOUSANDS visit Galipouli every year.

This year was the first time there were no WW1 vets. The Sydney march was lead by two riderless horses in full cavalry tack, with boots reversed in the stirrups.
