Auckland Domain War Memorial. This Zero is the last from WW2.It was stationed on a remote Pacific island, and was damaged. The ground crew knew the pilot had been ordered to perform a Kamikaze run, and so they took their time repairing it. Finally they were ordered to evacuate, so they finished the repairs and left. The RNZAF arrived on the island and found the fully repaired and functional Zero. Years later the pilot donated his flying kit to the museum.
